When abandoned checkout SMS is set up for your store, you will need to manually update your privacy policy to inform customers about text notifications. Some settings regards to your store's checkout page will also be automatically updated.

Before you activate Abandoned checkout SMS for your store, your customers should be informed of SMS notifications they will receive when subscribing to exclusive offers from your store in the Checkout page.

For One Page Checkout
The option Keep me up to date on news and exclusive offers will be shown under Place Your Order button.
For 3-step Checkout
The option Sign up for exclusive offers and news via emails and/or text messages will be shown under Contact information.
The field Phone (optional) will be changed to Phone number for updates and exclusive offers.
The following content will be displayed at the bottom of the checkout page. There will be a link to direct your customers to the Privacy policy page.
